Me

I’m Kallie, and I’m different too.

I have lived experiences of chronic pain that didn’t make any sense, of always feeling a bit different in ways that I didn’t know how to articulate, of being told that I’m too sensitive for my own good, of feeling a profound pain and confusion at how mainstream society operates.

So I’ve dedicated my professional life to helping folks who are different, too.

I studied social work so that I could understand how and why mainstream society causes some people so much pain.

I worked on research teams exploring genetic factors in the development of depression to better understand why some of us are more likely to struggle than others.

I became a licensed therapist to demonstrate my commitment to helping people ethically and with the highest standard of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

I became a yoga teacher to learn how to authentically lead an ancient practice that has been profoundly healing to so many people over thousands of years.

I’ve attended dozens of conferences, retreats, workshops, and trainings on Adventure Therapy, group facilitation, Reiki, sound healing, deep nature connection, and meditation to deepen my knowledge.

I’ve traveled the world, lived with an Indegenous community in the jungle for weeks, sat and sung with the land, and moved to an Ashram to broaden my understanding of the human condition.

I enrolled in an intensive Mystery School where I’m learning to listen to nature in a completely different, decolonized way.

With the help of master teachers, I’ve gone deeply into my own shadow work and learned to navigate in my own darkness, so that navigating your darkness doesn’t scare me.

All of this is to say, I have unique tools to offer unique people dealing with unique problems. Whether you are living with chronic pain, reconciling trauma, struggling with anxiety or depression, or questioning what it all means, it would be a privilege to walk part of your journey alongside you.
